Your Wedding • Reservations There are endless combinations for use of the Inn, our award-winning in-house gourmet and casual catering, dining rooms, the estate and its grounds, and you will find some logical groupings below as an indication which may suit your personal needs. But there are many more options possible.

Your reservations for the mix of lodging, catering, dining, locations and sites are options which very much depend on the size and character of your wedding. In rare cases the parents, bride and groom rent the entire Inn, estate and grounds, and all dining rooms for two days, have everyone as their guests, and pay the entire bill. In most cases, the parents of the bride and groom, and/or the bride and groom, pay for everything except for their guests’ lodging and off-site dining which is billed directly to the guests.

Some things are constant
• We listen and work with you to design and plan your wedding, via emails, phone calls and probably at least one visit.
• Once we have a good sense of what you would like, we prepare together a draft agreement which specifies in detail everything about the wedding with a specific budget determined by you. We do not add or tack-on anything without your written approval.
• We finalize that agreement by editing, changing, adding, removing.
• You determine the number of guests and block a number of rooms, reserve the catering, dining, sites and locations for the event
• You, the bride or groom’s parents make the group reservation
• You either select the rooms for each guest, or let them select based on a block booking, which allows them to call in and reserve based on the rooms you have reserved and made available for the wedding party.
• The party financially responsible for the group reservation provides an initial deposit based on a mutually written agreement & schedule, a second deposit 6 weeks before the event, and the balance at check-in. This usually includes a room, catering and dining deposit. The lodging component is reimbursed or credited to your wedding account as your guests reserve their specific rooms and make their own room specific lodging deposits.

Logical Lodging & Dining Group Bookings For Weddings
Logical Lodging & Dining Group Bookings For Weddings | Weddings for the most part are at least two day events, and a two day minimum applies in most reservation cases below. Keep in kind that these are indications and examples, we do not do weddings with less than two people or more than 200, so in that range numerous configurations are possible. The block-booking configurations below are recommendations but not obligations or restrictions.

From 2-6 People
One Room, Cottage or Cabin
We often have weddings ceremonies in the rooms, cottages and cabins. This is usually for elopements or where the bride and groom want to keep it as simple as possible. You can see the rooms, cottages and cabins available by Clicking Here

From 8-15 People
Seven Rooms in The Main Farm House
Sometimes wedding parties reserve all of the rooms in the main farmhouse, this is particularly appropriate when the wedding will have 8-15 lodging guests who want maximum togetherness. The main farm house has the following rooms:

From 8-15 People
The Main House & Simplicity
Simplicity at The Mast Farm Inn is reserved exclusively for Inn guests. Besides our country gourmet breakfasts for all guests, it is only available for in-house gourmet or casual catering clients. It is for all practical purposes a private restaurant, which serves only Inn guests for breakfast, and only groups lodging at the Inn for special events such as weddings. Sometimes wedding parties reserve all of the rooms in the main house, and one or all our dining rooms for the duration. this is particularly appropriate when the wedding will have 8-15 lodging guests who want maximum togetherness. Wedding reception and dining is often outdoors, but bridal luncheons, rehearsal diners, and receptions for 2-36 often use our restaurant’s dining rooms, in the Main Farm House, or reserve one or all the dining rooms so they can have them to themselves for lunch, afternoon and nighttime dining.

The Main House & The Three Historic Cottages
When reserving the entire main farm house but where the wedding party requiring lodging exceeds the farm house capacity, the most logical thing to do is also reserve the Three Historic Cottages as Well.

From 2-36 People
Simplicity at The Mast Farm Inn
For the most part the wedding reception and dining takes place outdoors or in our dining rooms. Bridal luncheons, rehearsal diners, and receptions for 2-36 often use our dining rooms in the Main Farm House, or reserve all the dining rooms so they can have it them to themselves for lunch, afternoon and nighttime dining. This dining capacity is extended to 40-200 in catering scenarios by having outdoor dining under tents.

From 12-28 People
The Main House, The Three Historic Cottages & Simplicity
Same as above but reserving the dining rooms as well. Some parties reserve the restaurant for one night, and others for both nights.

From 4-10 People
The Three Historic Cottages
For wedding parties requiring lodging for 4 to 10 people the Three historic cottages make good sense as they are all grouped together a few dozen yards from the main farmhouse, have great character and comfort

From 8-17 People
The Four Forest Cottages & Cabins
The four forest cottages and cabins could make great sense for groups of 8-17 because they are grouped in the same area, are quite private and Uncle Earl’s Haven and Mam’s Refuge have full kitchens, as well as a numerous decks. All are very self-sufficient.

From 2-200 People
20 Rooms in 15 Units, In 9 Buildings, The Entire Inn, Farm House, Cottages, Cabins, Grounds & Simplicity
While no one has rented the entire facility for just two people to date, nothing is impossible. The Inn’s lodging and indoor dining capacity is 48 people, in 15 Units, In 9 Buildings. In cases where a wedding includes 24 or more guest you are required to rent the entire facility. Additional Bed & Breakfast Lodging for another 60 people is available within a three minute drive at other Valle Crucis Bed & Breakfasts, and for several hundred within 5 miles.

We are an ideal destination wedding venue for 2 to 200. We are an all season, year-round boutique hotel, country inn, with in-house gourmet and casual catering reserved exclusively for guests at the Inn, several dining rooms, outdoor eating terraces and areas, and are open 365 days a year. At no time is the Inn empty of lodging and breakfast dining guests unless we close reservations to the general public for a special event such as yours or for renovations.

Due to its scale and size, in all cases requiring the use of indoor spaces, when you have a wedding at the inn with over 24 people, the Inn becomes de-facto your private facility for a private event, and we do not take reservations for non-wedding-party guests for lodging or dining.

If the wedding party had over 24 people for any of the functions, and your guests did not lodge here, and we had 24 non-wedding party Inn guests, it would without fail create an “attention deficit conflict” :-) with other inn guests who are here. You won’t enjoy that, nor will they. This is because our total occupancy for lodging is 48 including children. In other words if a wedding has over 24 guests for any of the functions, enough of your guests need to lodge at the Inn to book all the rooms, cottages and cabins.

We also do many small destination and local weddings under 24 guests, for which we waive that requirement completely, as the regular Inn guests will not overwhelm your party and vice-versa.

Our maximum capacity in terms of number of people lodging at the Inn is 48, and our maximum capacity for any of the wedding functions at the Inn is 200. Click here to see our lodging guide and occupancy limits.
