“Historic, Rural, Organic, Natural”. Each Room, Cottage and Cabin at The Mast Farm Inn is truly unique, each is decorated differently, some are in the thick of the Inn’s life, some are near the country road, some are secluded in the woods. “The Masts built more farm buildings over the years, including the large barn across the road from the main house. Of necessity, the farm was designed to be self-sufficient and self-contained. By the early 1900’s, at least sixteen different buildings were part of the old mountain farmstead. Remarkably, thirteen remain today. Most of the buildings in the meadow were used for livestock, for the storage of hay and grain and for tobacco curing. The springhouse, smokehouse, icehouse, blacksmith shop, woodworking shop, and wash house were on the south side of the road adjacent to the cabin, tucked away from the wind. On the north side of the road, almost directly across from the small garage, a large harness shed once stood. A pen for hogs sat where the small pond behind the blacksmith shop is now located.” ~ David Yates
“The Mast Farm Inn was recommended to me by a colleague, who couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful and charming the Inn was. I hear from several friends how stressful it is to plan a wedding. Yet, I feel completely relaxed, due to working with Danielle.” ~ SR
“It was comfortable, very clean and lovely and not too far from the main inn to keep that feel of the whole place. We enjoyed the design of the cottage at Maple Spring and the view through the pines. We loved it all! We both enjoyed our entrees our first night: Tempeh and Pork Chops and Asparagus. Also everyone who works there is gracious, smiling and is so pleased to help. Wow! Thank you & we look forward to another visit.” ~ M & G
“Thank you very much for your kindness and hospitality. C and I had the most incredible time and we enjoyed your company tremendously.” M & C
