Information • Owners & Staff • The Mast Farm Inn is owned and managed by Danielle Deschamps, her parents Henri & Marie-Henriette Deschamps, with a staff of 20 highly dedicated culinary and hospitality professionals.
Danielle Deschamps, Co-Owner, Vice-President & General Manager The Mast Farm Inn of Valle Crucis, North Carolina, was born in Miami, Florida in 1983. She grew up and went to elementary school in Laboule, Haiti, and Paris, France where she attended the Fides Elementary School, then in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland where she attended and graduated from College Alpin Beau Soleil, graduating high-school with a double diploma: The American High School and The International Baccalaureates. She moved to London, England, for four years after high-school where she went to College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from Richmond University. Danielle has lived full or part-time, and traveled extensively in France, Italy, Germany, England, Spain, Switzerland, Dubai, Haiti, North Carolina, Florida, and New York, and is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
She moved full-time to America in 2006, where she became a partner of The Mast Farm Inn, then the Executive Chef of Simplicity at The Mast Farm Inn, then the General Manager of The Mast Farm Inn; Position which she occupies today. The Mast Farm Inn is an award-winning Historic Hotels of America® hotels, a Select Registry Inn®, and has received The TripAdvisor® Award for Excellence for 5 consecutive years, and in 2015 was inducted into the TripAdvisor® Hall of Fame. At Over Yonder Danielle was one of the two co-founders, and co-managing partners, with Executive Chef Andrew Long.
Danielle has received numerous awards and accolades including: The Best Customer Service Awards for two consecutive years from The Boone Chamber of Commerce; 4th place in 2011, and second place in 2012, for The Best Dish in North Carolina Award, which is the state of North Carolina’s Official competition, presented each year by the the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association.
