Catering • Food • The food you offer will depend on the character of your wedding. It can define and reflect the event, and help make it lifetime memorable.
For example one of the favorites here is “Downright Criminal Champagne Chestnut Chicken, with mushrooms, thyme, garlic, pearl onions, and nutmeg crème fraiche, partnering in crime with three wild and crazy rices, with shallots, garlic, red peppers, fried and then simmered.”… To which Jerry Maguire responded: “You had me at Downright Criminal Champagne Chestnut!”
For example if you have a wedding with 150 people, live music, a lot of dancing and wine, destined to last late into the evening, you may want to keep the meal light and inexpensive, so your budget and guests do not keel over. The food will still be important but not a main event. On the other hand if it is an relatively intimate ceremony, the food and wine could be absolutely spectacular unforgettable art, as it will be a big part of the reception. We can help you sort those types of things out and make the best decision for your wedding.
Gourmet organic farm-to-table fine catering. “Slow Food In A Fast World.”
What Simplicity at Mast Farm Inn offers is gourmet slow catering of extreme quality and freshness; a meticulous cuisine prepared with mindfulness, aware of the mountain region’s heritage, and showcasing the high quality of the natural ingredients, with a level of care and personal service second to none. That being said, we can prepare any global, ethnic, or regional cuisine you prefer, from the most down home Fried Green Tomatoes, Chicken & Dumplings, Louisiana Creole cornbread gumbo, to Mediterranean Ratatouille and Brown Butter Gnocchi, to the most Parisian haute cuisine such as Tournedos Rossini, on a bed of chateau potatoes au gratin, over champagne butter. In the menus section you will find a sampling of the types of courses we can and have served for weddings in the past. These can be served in sit-down dinner fashion or as a buffet. Keep in mind that we are quite ready, willing and able to design a specific menu to include what you want based on your budget and specifications, and that is generally what we do.
